About the Position
The Deputy Product Manager with support from the IBS Product Manager will be required to provide the provision of Product Management support. Duties include:
The administration, drafting and development of Project and Product documentation (e.g., Product Management Plans, Product Schedule, Risk Plans and registers, Quality Plans, Stakeholder Management Strategies and Plans)
Provision of Product advice and guidance to delegates and stakeholders with support from the IBS Product Manager. Liaison with internal and external Product stakeholders
Contributing to Product planning and execution processes, including updating of relevant document. Input into the development and ongoing management of Program/product strategies
Actively involved in the development and maintenance of Product reports. Prepare briefing documents and supporting artifacts including high level schedules
Actively participate in product risk assessment activities in isolation and group environments
Preparing and/ or delivering oral and written briefings to senior leadership, with support from the IBS Product Manager. Participating in various briefings, workshops, and presentations
Contribute to the identification and realisation of Defence capability benefits
Essential Criteria
Relevant tertiary qualifications and associated domain knowledge
Current and relevant project/product management experience
Knowledge commensurate with the skill level required of relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements/methodologies
Desirable Criteria
Postgraduate qualification(s) in a relevant field
A recognised program/product management professional qualification such as registered project managers under AIPM
Understanding of military Command and Control technologies such as tactical data Links would be beneficial
Previous experience in the CASG / Defence
