About the Position
Reporting to the Lumify People Account Director, we are seeking a highly capable and experienced Operations Manager to manage our Department of Defence contracts and outcomes as well as provide day to day support to our consultants and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
With the assistance of the Lumify People Projects Administrator, lead the operational management of Lumify People contracts
Work closely with the Lumify People Training Projects Manager to review, update, implement and maintain the procedures, processes and management systems required to ensure astute financial, procurement and contract management for Lumify People business unit
With support from the Lumify People Projects Administrator, prepare and present the Lumify People monthly accounts and reports, of actual against budget with appropriate detailed variance analysis
Work closely with the Lumify People Account Director to assist in delivering the Lumify People growth strategy, and various sales campaigns
Provision of the day-to-day management and leadership to Lumify People consultants including the timely management of any risks and issues as they arise
Establish and develop strong customer relationships and proactively seek to deepen those relationships to increase our footprint with each customer
Identify operational or people risks and issues and work with the Lumify People Team and other stakeholders to develop and implement solutions to mitigate risks and issues
Draft and present a variety of progress and performance reports both for internal and external stakeholders
Assist with responding to tenders including reviewing tender submissions, provision of advice on resourcing from existing consultants, drafting task solutions and pricing strategies to help grow Lumify People business
With support from the Lumify People Projects Administrator, manage Lumify People Defence Industry Security Program requirements
About You
You have sound interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to liaise with all levels of stakeholders and customers alike
You have excellent negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate to develop shared solutions with customers and Lumify People consultants
You are experienced at coaching and mentoring people
You can work to tight timeframes and deadlines
You have a strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
You understand the importance of customer service and collaborating with your team and customer to develop timely solutions to risks and issues
You are self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
You have sound written and oral communication skills, and the capacity to deal with ambiguity and complex problems

Most importantly, you act with integrity and show care for the people you work with
Essential Criteria
Tertiary qualifications in a project management, training or a related discipline or are an experienced project management practitioner with one or more qualifications in Prince2, PMP, Six Sigma, Agile Project Management or equivalent
At least 10 years’ experience as a Project Management professional well versed in procurement and contract management
Demonstrated experience managing scope, schedule, and contractual deliverables including applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management
Demonstrable record of collaborating with your team, customers and other stakeholders to resolve risks and issues
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex deliverables daily, inclusive of month end
Deep understanding and experience applying relevant legislation and Government Policies including the Commonwealth Procurement Guidelines and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013
Desirable Criteria
Project Manager accreditation via the Australian Institute of Project Management
Department of Defence experience
