Job Description
A Scheduler is required for a 6-month project in Defence, under broad direction to support the SPO Director through the provision of scheduling expertise and support.
First 6 weeks of the role is on site, then remote is available.
Duties include:
Being accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility
Interpret and provide advice within the project control function based on policy and procedures
Undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct reviews, and perform procedural and administrative support work to achieve results
Required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond, and provide advice on issues to achieve Defence outcomes
Require to actively engage with schedule and project controls
Experience/Skills Sought:
Demonstrated ability for the development and maintenance of project planning activities
Coordinate project performance and identify the need for change and takes action
Develop and implement project briefs and reports using a range of tools and techniques
Identify risks, uncertainties, and opportunities during the planning process, and develop and implement agreed recommendations that contribute to project outcomes
Build and sustain effective relationships with team members including the provision of coaching and mentoring and actively participate in team and group activities
Work collaboratively with all stakeholders, provide constructive feedback, and recommend solutions
Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternatives courses of action
Minimum Diploma qualification Project Management
Demonstrated experience working on Defence projects, using Open Plan Professional (OPP) scheduling program
Detailed knowledge of the One Defence Capability System (formerly Capability Lifecycle)
Demonstrated experience working in environments with Commonwealth information security requirements
Qualifications in project support elements relating to Project Management
