About the Position
This position is required to provide training design for CASG leading up to the release of a capability.
Following contract signature, the Training Officer will support the Acquisition lifecycle and be responsible for supervision of the development of the training solution. Specifically, this will include preparation and support of the abbreviated Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) training reviews, such as, Training Guidance Confirmation Workshops, Training Guidance Workshops and Implementation Review and Learning Review boards as applicable. They will also be responsible for managing and reviewing documentation deliverables from the contractor relevant to their areas of responsibility, and for developing, reviewing, and managing solutions for technical issues and risks relevant to the Training System.
Deliverables:
Review Training System documents.
Prepare and participate in SADL-mandated training reviews.
Participate in Training Readiness Reviews (TNGRR) and other meetings, as the Training Design SME.
Work with contractors, conduct the training program development, including managing trainee proficiencies, advising trainee career modelling, course structure and gap training requirements.
Assure the provision of necessary training documentation by the contractors.
Liaise with SMEs for any necessary specialist advice where required when reviewing CDRLs and/or participating in training design activities.
Prepare and achieve executive authority approval for the Training System.
Support transition to sustainment of the Training System following system acceptance.
Prepare reports, briefs and official project correspondence relevant to areas of responsibility.
Evaluate and ensure that the delivered materiel meets requirements and legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks and implement actions.
Support the development and update to internal training system management plans including the risks, document security and control, task trackers and RFIs.
Essential Criteria
Formal qualifications in Certificate IV Work place Training and Assessment.
Detailed knowledge and proficiency in executing tasks within the acquisition framework.
Detailed understanding of the Defence Capability Life Cycle and SADL processes.
Knowledge and experience in ASDEFCON contract suite, and proficiency in reviewing CDRL documentation.
Significant knowledge and experience (10+ years) in Training Design processes.
Significant knowledge and experience (10+ years) in Defence training delivery.
Significant knowledge and experience in the Introduction of New Capabilities.
Compliance with Program Legal & Probity requirements.
Desirable Criteria
Strong time management skills demonstrating effective and efficient task outcomes.
Polite, professional and a strong member, with exceptional communication skills for productive liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
